You gain the following benefits:

Instrument Proficiency: You gain proficiency with one 🛠️Musical Instrument of your choice. Alternatively, you gain an expertise die for one Musical Instrument you are already proficient in.

String Instrument Casting: String instruments are played by plucking and twanging strings. When using a string instrument as a spell focus, whenever you cast a Bard spell, that targets exactly one allied creature, you can target an additional creature within 10 feet of you.
