You gain the following benefits:

Instrument Proficiency: You gain proficiency with one 🛠️Musical Instrument of your choice. Alternatively, you gain an expertise die for one Musical Instrument you are already proficient in.

Percussion Casting: Any instrument played by being struck or scraped (either by other instruments or against each other) qualifies as a percussion instrument. When using a percussion instrument as a spell focus, you double the ranges of Bard spells. A spell that has a range of Touch increases its range to 30 feet.
